Share the Skies With Our Feathered Aviators

Please stay a minimum of 1000' AGL above all seabird populations

Spring is finally here, and it's time to stretch your wings and fly out into clear skies. It's also an important time of year to share the skies with aviators of the feathered variety, who are in the midst of their most sensitive time of year: breading season. Overflying a bird colony can flush nesting birds from their perches.

Watch California Highway Patrol Sergeant Steve Newman ask, "So what if birds fly away? Won't they just circle around and come back and land again?"
