For Sale: $1500 obo. McCauley 71-41. Metal: approx. 22lbs. Original equipment on my 2009 Sport Cub 0200A; 100HP. Around 850TT. I replaced it with Catto several years ago. Refurbished in 2012 after an accident in turf with the original owner. Looks good. Needs balancing and possibly overhaul based on age. We do a lot of flow visualization at NASA Ames in the tunnels. Here is an example in real life. Prop tip vortices.

The new airport regs of 2017ish ended the option for landing STOL aircraft on the turf between the approach end of 27 and the infrequently used taxiway. This area had been successfully used without incident (to my knowledge) for many years. STOL pilots did not use the area if there was any activity on the runway, taxiway, or ramp nearby. Tundra tires are expensive and the pavement tears them up. Many of the airports I frequent around CA and the West allow this. Let's come up with an option to land on the turf again!

SuperCub.org is doing a video series on Wednesdays. The last one was Bill Rusk's Cub adventures in Alaska on wheels and floats. Lots of cool float destinations with rental cabin's. They are being posted to youtube: https://youtu.be/XUmYom9KPJ4 You can also join on Zoom, but may need to sign up on SuperCub.org. Cheers
